Bonelli Vicariously

Tyler was home last week; spring break. He has been able to start running again, building back up from the stress fracture he sustained after the half marathon. He found a program online from the Pfitzinger Lab Report. I've bookmarked it myself for future reference.

Although not strictly on the plan, he took advantage of the terrific spring weather and headed over to Bonelli for a 3.5 mile jaunt and brought his camera along.

I haven't run a step since the last run of the WTRS. Total mileage for March 2008 was an all time record low of 26.7 miles. A coworker made the observation that maybe this is what happens when you break your self imposed moratorium on California marathons for Catalina and Big Sur.
I've kept myself busy with home improvement projects. The hedge around the backyard is completely trimmed from one end to other for the first time since we moved into this house in 2000. We've painted our bedroom (twice) and installed, trimmed and painted 4 new interior doors. I've got three more to do and a bathroom remodel scheduled.
Run and race well and put in a couple of miles for me.

I'll run for you, and you come do home improvements for me!

It's a bummer that you are not running, but good news that Tyler is on the way back. Hopefully you'll be back soon. In the meantime, listen to Joe and persevere!

So glad you captured the wildflowers from there. We were passing thru Sunday and I was just in awe of all the blooms. Cross training with home improvements -- especially hedgery -- makes not just your body but your wife happy.

Glad to hear from you Darrell...I was getting concerned. I'm glad you are "busy-ing" yourself. But I know you are antsy as well. When you can, let us know what your prognosis is right now and how long you think you'll be out.

Keep hanging in there!

Sounds like the nervous energy from not running is building up.
The pics are beautiful.
When you get done-I have a few jobs you can come and finish around my house :)

As long as you don't mind the slower miles I'll put in a few extra for you. Enjoy the projects.
