Dr. John and His Entourage

Within minutes of posting, I recevied the email from Dr. John with the pictures and captions from this weekends runs. Rather than editing that post I will post them here.

Dr. John's caption for this photo read: "The Canyon Hills High School cross country team momentarily caught up with John. After John explained that he was a married man, with two children and two grand children, they lost interest in him." Funny guy that Dr. John.

I took this photo as well of my partners for the day. L-R, Dr. John, Kathleen, Renee and Mary. From high up on Northridge trail we could see the ocean and even Catalina Island, 26 miles off the coast. Unfornately it doesn't show up in the photo, but it was there, trust me.

That looks way too warm and way too much fun!! Sure beats the forty degrees, sprinkles, and driving winds we had here this weekend! Enjoy your slow down period. Big dance is on the horizon (and an island too, I'm told ;-)

I'm sure you can find a good hot, summer marathon between April and October! Head north!!

How about Couer D'Alene in Idaho on Memorial weekend? Oh wait, did I suggest this already? I can't remember.

Beautiful pictures and Dr. John is funny!

Your post reminds me of how we often run into the Jesuit HS cross country team on Wildwood in Forest Park. Beautiful scenery! I hope we have some good weather for you for Eugene. We've definitely been getting our April showers.

Glad to hear training is going well...

Great pictures what a fun run! Man do I wish the trails looked like that around here, nothin but overcast, wet and muddy here in the Northeast = ) Send some of that sunshine our way!

LOL Dr. John is funny :-) Nic pics looks like a great day.

Sorry about the Gators & Snake patrol keeping U out of FL...I really HATE snakes too...Gators are OK to look at from a distance, they are so prehistoric looking they do look cool when they are swimming down the lake with only their heads(eyes) sticking out.

Anyways looks like ur trainings are going great almost race time!!

Let me know if want to slip into the Nike Employee store (if you have time on the way down to Eugene), I'll sign you in.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I am excited to see how you progress to this amazing goal. BTW, my parents live in St. George and keep asking me to run the marathon there. Curious on your insight. Keep running!
